How do you workout when you have kids?

Ordinarily, I try to workout when my little guy takes a nap. But yesterday was rough, y’all. I had so much to do that I didn’t get to start my workout until it was almost time for him to wake up. Then he woke up and came downstairs right in the middle of my workout.

He actually did a few moves with me and was really good. I was impressed. Kiddo can throw some punches. We may have a little MMA fighter on our hands. He was rocking the CORE DE FORCE.

But then kiddo tried to go all trainer beast mode on me and try to give me a little extra weight for my planks.

Yes. He’s really just trying to help me. Sweet guy. He knows mommy needs to work on her core. Y’all, 30 extra pounds on your back for planks is HARD! But it also makes me think, wow. I’ve lost like 2.5 times that much weight. Wow. How much harder would my planks be with that much weight on me. Crazy to think about. I’m so thankful my weight is going down and that I’m not giving up.

So basically, that’s how my workouts go some days. Kids climb on me. Kids yell at me to jump higher. Sometimes kids join in on the workouts. Sometimes I get to work out in peace and quiet during naptime, but sometimes, having a kid on your back for planks is just how it goes.You just gotta roll with it. You gotta embrace the crazy.  And you get ‘er done.
